The design for this project began with a careful analysis of the Kailali River site, aiming to integrate the natural bends and contours of the river into an urban landscape that fosters community and social interaction. The central concept involves connecting various parts of the river corridor with bridges that double as promenades, offering unique views of the river while also serving as a cycling path along the entire corridor. These bridges enhance walkability and add an additional layer of safety through increased visibility across the site. The spaces created along the corridor are designed with a strong emphasis on community, universal accessibility, and gender inclusivity. The areas connected by these bridges are specifically developed as communal urban spaces, prioritizing gender inclusivity and providing autonomy for women and teenage girls.
